I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Vermont in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. I was pleased to have attained Dean's List every semester, and earned a nomination to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. After college, I attended Albany Law School, graduating cum laude in 1994. While attending law school, I worked at the busy Troy City Court on criminal matters.
After I was admitted to the practice of law in New York State, I relocated from the Capital District to the Hudson Valley, where I have lived since. My work at Ryan, Roach & Ryan is concentrated primarily in workers' compensation and appeals.
I enjoy writing. While I recognize that creativity is not usually associated with legal writing, I have learned through my work that creativity can be persuasive in legal memoranda and appeals as long as it is used with careful research and analysis. Outside of work I enjoy many outdoor activities from gardening to hiking with my dog.
